Ariel Gentalen (they/them) is an artist, writer, and educator seeking to diversify narratives and create platforms for engaging in critical dialogue to re-shape the world. They received their BA in Art History and Women’s Studies from California State University, Fullerton and their MA in Arts Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

They were a 2016/2017 Chicago Artists Coalition Curatorial Fellow, and have worked at Third Coast International Audio Festival, the Art Institute of Chicago, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Hyde Park Art Center.

They are currently the LGBTQIA2S+ Resource Program Projects Lead at Fullerton College in addition to being an Art History and Museum Studies professor across Southern California.
